i have just moved to a coffee farm that is in transition to organics.
there are four or five nice pump tanks here for spray application,
as well as a large tank with an electric pump.
the only thing is that these previously had roundup in them.
as early as two months ago.
i dont want to have to discard these tanks, but i will if i have to.
i have run two full cycles of EM through the larger one, and
am going to make compost tea as a final flush.
does anyone know if this is enough for safe use after that?
any suggestions?
thanks

Re: compost tea as bioremediation?
Wed, March 12, 2008 - 1:01 PMGetting organic certification may have its own rules about these things that you need to check out. Also, I don't know what EM is. However, gyphosate (roundup) is very water soluble and shouldn't cling to tanks.
