so im starting my first real compost pile and ive read that newspaper makes a good "brown" filler but im not sure if i should add this to my mix knowing that the ink used on newspaper tends to be toxic. if someone knows the REAL scoop on this issue id love to hear it!

i think shiny colorful inks are the ones to avoid

Call the newspaper and they will let you know what type of ink they are using. -

I use it for bedding/cover material in my worm com[oster. They seem to like it, just fine.
